The M256A1 is an upgrade from the M256 chemical agent detector kit. This upgrade to the M256A1 Detector kit allowed for a more accurate reading and also prolonged storage life. The M256A1 detection kit is used to detect the presence of invisible and deadly Blood, Blister and Nerve Agents in both gas and vapor form. These M256A1 Chemical Agent Detector Kits are military surplus items sold as collector's / novelty items only.
